Statue of Liberty

Statue of Liberty Vodka Luge

Our Statue of Liberty Vodka Luge  (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) can also be carved as an Ice Sculpture. It is a two-ice block piece.

In real life, The Statue of Liberty is a huge neoclassical sculpture situated on Liberty Island in New York Harbor.  It was designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886.

The statue was a gift to the United States from the people of France.  She is a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law). Inscribed is the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.

The statue has become an icon of freedom and of the United States.
