Parading around the ring, masses of plumes of feathers bobbing up and down in unison with beautiful, bare-backed female riders taking charge.  The noise of the hoofs muffled by the saw dust was always an amazing sound. With military precision the Ring Master would guide and conduct the horses to perform all sorts of tricks and actions. Always a phenmenal spectacle.
