Georgie was having as a theme to her 18th Birthday - "Jungle / In the Wild". She along with her mother Karen, had beautifully decorated their large Kitchen / Diner when we had arrived to set-up her Vodka Luge.
Outside their patio doors they had placed a very large, very long marquee - draped totally in black backdrops and curtains - it was truly amazing and stunning. It backed directly onto the kitchen (across the whole of the back of the house) turning the garden into a big (and brilliant) party area.
The table the luge was to be set-up on had a real jungle feel - perfect for the Snake Vodka Luge she wanted. The black backdrop set off the Vodka Luge perfectly. The "Snake" literally came alive and looked awesome - and dangerous!
The snake was carved in a Portrait format - 1m high by 1/2m wide and weighed in the region of 12-13 stone. The snake was modeled on a real snake (photo), so the detail and 'look' of the snake Vodka Luge was as real as we could make it. Being a 'chunky' sculpture, it was designed to last and be used for many, many hours.
For anyone thinking of a Jungle, Zoo, Wildlife, Amazon, or even Rain Forest themed party, this Vodka Luge shape is absolutely ideal; great eye-appeal, long lasting and very, very dramatic. With a black or dark background to the Vodka Luge ice sculpture, the whole piece becomes very theatrical and amazingly dramatic.
A White background would have lost the total impact and impressiveness of the sculpture. The table cloth picked-up the theme beautifully - not always thought about by many. Georgie and Karen did a phenomenal job.
