Ice Sculptures for
Funerals

Funerals are a time for celebration of life.

It is a very sad time but also a time for everyone to talk about, get together and celebrate the good times. Unfortunately we all have a finite time on this wonderful earth. As people often say, 'life is so short'.

After most funerals there often follows a 'party' (or wake). Parties can take almost any form from:

  • Tea and coffee 'at home'
  • Sandwiches and drinks (at the local pub)
  • A party with buffet at a local hotel or community centre
  • A 'let-your-hair-down' casual get-together party-party

and of course a myriad of other options.

Usually there are only a few days to inform everyone, organize the actual funeral, the church or crematorium and then the party itself.

Don't worry. We are used to this.

Why an Ice Sculpture at a funeral?

  • They can be religious in style and show a love of God
  • They can be of a favourite sport, hobby, interest or past time
  • They can 'sum-up' the person
  • It can be a fun, frivolous item!

What shape would be appropriate?

Here are just SOME suggestions, this is not a definitive list nor is it meant to be the only sculpture you can have or we can carve:

  • Religious
    • Praying hands
    • A Cross
    • An Angel
    • A candle
    • Bible or religious book
    • Dove of Peace with olive branch
  • Sports
  • Hobbies
    • Chess
    • Model making
    • Model railways
    • Knitting
    • and so on and so forth..
