Ninth Annual Ice Carving Contest Comes Back to Kansas City Country Club Plaza
WHO: Professional chefs and culinary students from the Greater Kansas City area
WHAT: Will create masterpieces out of blocks of ice – Amazing Vision!!
WHEN: Saturday, January 28, 2012 (Ice carving begins at 10:30 a.m., judging begins at 1:30 P.M.)
WHERE: Kansas City Country Club Plaza at the intersection of Nichols Road and Central Street
WHY: To demonstrate artistic skills of area chefs and culinary students, win cash prizes and celebrate the Greater Kansas City hospitality industry! Both professional and student winners of the competition will receive a cash prize and their carving will be displayed in the Ballroom Foyer of the historic Muehlebach Hotel where hundreds of restaurateurs will view the masterpieces before attending the 2011 GKCRA Inaugural Ball that evening. The ball will include a reception from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a program, dinner and party.
